Board Members Training & Induction Day

The Board of Waterford LEADER Partnership Ltd organises training and induction days for new and existing Board Members at regular intervals to allow Board Members learn about the practicalities of the programme, and learn from and appreciate their past decisions in terms of the investments they have made.

The Board on their training day visited Comeragh Development’s Crough Wood, Passage East & Crooke Development Assoc., Pirates Adventure Centre Ltd., Fenor Bog, Copper Coast Mini Farm, and the Geo Park in Bunmahon.

The visits straddled large scale voluntary projects such as the Hall and Playground in Passage East to innovative economic projects such as Pirates Adventure and the Copper Coast Mini Farm. From these visits the Board Members obtained a first hand appreciation of both the private and voluntary endeavour in promoting either a private venture or a community based venture be it entrepreneurial or social or heritage based.

Such training days are invaluable, as they concretise for the Board the decisions they take every month.
