Waterford Leader Partnership

The company is comprised of local professional, business and self employed people. In 2003 they were granted funding for the development of an Enterprise/ Training Centre consisting of a Sports Hall and Gym, Dressing Room and Showers, Stage, Ticket Office, Play School and Crèche, Cookery Room, Administration Office, Tourist Office, Multipurpose Meeting Room, Educational Room and one dedicated IT room with 15 work stations.

Grant aid sought from Waterford Leader Partnership was solely for the construction and fitting out of the training centre and IT room. The Cappoquin Childcare Facility was officially opened on Saturday 9th September, and is part of the larger project which will be finished in the next few months, consisting of the sports hall, stage, gym, cookery kitchen, IT rooms and classrooms. This is a fantastic facility for West Waterford serving a much-needed niche in the community.
