The Local Employment Service Programme is run by WLP Ltd under contract to FAS. At present there are two LES offices, one in Dungarvan and one in Carrick on Suir administered by WLP Ltd staff. The aim of the LES Programme is to help long term unemployed through training and education gain employment. The LES run various courses, which meet the immediate needs of the Long Term Unemployed, i.e. Catering Course; Computer Course; Traditional Skills; Manual Handling; Safe Pass, Fork Lift licence, stonewall building, etc., etc., to name but a few courses. These course  help upskill the participants and so enable many to gain employment. The LDSIP
Programme supports the LES by funding training course (€8,500) and by helping also to target participants for some of the courses.
