The Circus Workshops for young people, which commenced on 5th August in the Community Centre and  continued on the 6th & 7th August in the G.A.A. Sports Hall in Tramore were funded by the Local Development Social Inclusion Programme run by Waterford Leader Partnership Ltd.

The aim of the project was to attract local young people who never joined any group into the club and involved them in activities which they requested. 16 children, 8 boys and 8 girls, under the age of fifteen years, attended the course and completed the 3 day workshops. Most of the young people came from the Riverstown area in Tramore.

The course was a huge success. The young people found it very informative and enjoyable in learning new skills in every aspect of Circus and Street Performance. They gained valuable knowledge on how to perform circus skills. Each and every one of them said how much they enjoyed the course and wanted to do more!

Klub Muzic intends continuing on these workshops so that these young people become even more proficient in circus skills and become more involved in local youth activities. The Klub is also looking into the possibility of purchasing some equipment through fund raising so that the young people in the local housing estates can continue to practice these new skills in their own hall.
