The LES is pleased to announce that the FIT IT Retail Sales & Customer Care Course is well underway in Dungarvan. This 6-month full-time programme, in which 20 local job-seekers are participating, is funded by FAS. FIT (Fast-Track to Information Technology) is an industry initiative supported by government. A registered charity FIT facilitates unemployed job seekers pursue employment and progression opportunities through the acquisition of marketable ICT Skills. Graduates from the IT Retail Sales & Customer Care Programme, which includes Certification in ECDL; Customer Care and CompTIA A+ Essentials, will be available to local businesses in July for a variety of job opportunities including retail sales; technology & IT sales; reception; office administration; warehousing. The course also offers a one-month practical work placement with local companies. Employers wishing to employ graduates or support the Dungarvan FIT initiative by offering work placement or company visits can contact the FIT Operations Manager, Edel Hesnan. (01 8825570).
