Barron Hall, Stradbally

This project is being funded under the Community Support Scheme - Salmon Hardship Fund.

The Barron Hall Committee in Stradbally following a public meeting in Dungarvan in November 2008, applied to Waterford LEADER Partnership Ltd under the Salmon Hardship Fund to renovate the Barron Hall in Stradbally as a Community Facility for the Village.

The project involved a major renovation of the Barron Hall in Stradbally, Co. Waterford which will act as a small community centre for the village whose population has expanded dramatically.  The Committee with the help of Waterford LEADER Partnership Ltd have secured the fabric of the building for many years to come.  The work was carried out in consultation with the Heritage Office of Waterford  County Council.

The final investment from Wateford LEADER Partnership on behalf of the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources will be €75,000.00 with the Barron Hall Committee investing €30,000.00.  Further information on Barron Hall and it's restoration can be found at http://www.barronhall.webs.com/
