RD - Pirates Adventure

Pirates Adventure was part funded by WLP Ltd under the Rural Development Programme on behalf of the Department of Community, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs. Located in Tramore, Co. Waterford Pirates Adventure offers a wide variety of pirate themed indoor leisure activities including a 12 hole indoor mini golf course (complete with Irelands first ever glow in the dark section), mini bowling, mini motorbikes and arcade games. A cafe offering a range of hot and cold snacks is also available.

Pirates Adventure opened its door for business in June 2009. Its promoters Christie and David Murray have several years of experience in running a business. Having become familiar with the success of minigolf in the US and the UK, Christie & David found that this was a massive entertainment enterprise which was relatively under discovered in Ireland. Market research also demonstrated that there was an under-serviced market, providing entertainment for families with older chidren and for teenagers. Pirates Adventure seeks to provide an indoor entertainment recreational facility for families with older children, teenagers, adults, tourists and corporate groups.
