Waterford & Suir Valley Railway Project

Work commenced on the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway  project in May  2010 with the construction of a train shed,  workshop and the reinforcement of the railway underbridge,  landscaping, signage and new picnic areas at the Kilmeaden Train Station. The Train shed and workshop will facilitate the  restoration of locomotives to working order and provide secure lock up for future rolling stock. The landscaping, signage and picnic areas will entice more people to come and  enjoy this wonderful railway experience through  the Suir Valley.
