Waterford Leader Partnership

Carrick on Suir jobseekers who recently participated in a FETAC Level 3 Tiling Course, organised by the East Waterford Local Employment Service (LES) and FRS Training which was generously funded by the Local Community Development Programme (LCDP) under Waterford Leader Partnership. A  3-day Tiling Course was organised for 10 Clients of the Local Employment Service in Carrick on Suir from November 22^nd to 24^th, 2010.  The programme was funded by the Local Community Development Programme, which is co-ordinated by Waterford Leader Partnership Ltd. and the training took place in  The Friary, Carrick beg, Carrick on Suir.

Over the course of the 3 days, participants were instructed in the safety use of tools and equipment; fixing wall tiles; fixing patterned tile panels. The programme, which is FETAC Certified, was delivered by a very experienced tutor and gave participants the correct mix of practical and theoretical knowledge in order to increase their skills. On completion of the course, participants expressed their confidence in using the necessary Tiling equipment and the tutor commended them for their commitment to the Training.
