In conjunction with the Tús Community Work Placement Initiative and the Rural Social Scheme, Waterford LEADER Partnership CLG is delighted to be involved with Ballysaggart Community Development Company, in providing beneficial assistance to the local community, while also boosting the work readiness of its Tús Participants.
Ballysaggart Community Development Company is a local community group, whose primary focus is to encourage the local community to improve the environment and make the area a better place to live, work and visit. Waterford LEADER Partnership CLG has supported Ballysaggart Community Development Company group since September 2011 with Tús Workers and 2016 with a worker through the Rural Social Scheme. These workers come with certain skills which are enhanced through the projects delivered by the group and with the help of Waterford LEADER Partnership CLG have acquired new skills and training to make them more work ready. Ballysaggart Community Development Company covers a wide variety of maintenance projects such as, gardening, painting, litter Picks and maintaining area’s around the Village.
The work being carried out by Tús is making a difference to the look of the village and is free for everyone to enjoy.
