Billy Moore Metal Works Equipment

Billy Moore of Billy Moore Metal Works, Ballysaggart, Co Waterford was awarded funding in 2024 for the development of his business with the purchase of new energy efficient equipment to improve the efficiency and increase production.

Cappoquin Community Sculpture in memory of the late Tom Cavanagh

Funding was allocated under the Rural Development LEADER Programme 2023 – 2027 under Theme 1: Economic Development and Job Creation, Strategic Action 1.2 Green Economy.

Funding supported the purchase of:

  • A new metal cutting bandsaw.
  • A new MIG welding plant
  • A new TIG welding plant

This project has added value to the business allowing Billy to use the new equipment for his full range of metal work including sculpture, renovation/repair, and other bespoke projects.

Billy has launched his new website and is working on a range for an online shop.

It is envisaged that Billy, an artist, sculptor and metal worker, will continue to go from strength to strength with the prospect of increasing the growth of his business and creating future job and training opportunities.
