A sightseeing sea safari in Dunmore East offers a captivating adventure along the county’s beautiful coastline. It involves a boat tour that takes you on a journey to explore Ireland’s stunning marine landscapes and encounter its diverse wildlife. Funded under the Rural Tourism measure of the Rural Development Programme 2014 -2022 the Sea Safari boat is an excellent addition to the growing activities on offer in the Dunmore East Adventure Centre.

Comeragh Pods

Glamping, short for “glamorous camping,” is a luxurious camping experience that combines the comforts of a hotel with the natural beauty of the outdoors and Comeragh Pods achieves just that. The project was funded by the Rural Development 2014 -2022 progamme Rural Tourism Measure.  Grant aid was awarded for 6 luxurious glamping pods, a communal building, and all assoicated ground works.  The campsite is nestled within the surrounds of the Comeragh Mountains and the glamping pods have the most stunning views of the Irish countryside.  It truely is a break away from it all. The focus is on providing a high level of comfort and convenience while still allowing guests to connect with nature.

Cheekpoint Pontoon and Gangway

Rural Development funding was used to invest in the installation of a 63m pontoon located in the deep water pool at Cheekpoint harbour with a 21m connecting wheelchair accessible gangway. The pontoon will allow access to vessels in all tides and provide safe river access for all local boat users.

The former school, which has operated as a Community Hall for many years required major upgrading to allow the continued provision of services from the Centre.
