Eamonn and Louise Maher, Callan Co. Kilkenny along with Eamonn’s brother Jim and brother in law George have been welcoming Social Farming participants to their farm since the beginning of 2019.
They offer a wide variety of activities on their calf to beef farm. The feeding and bedding of the calves is the first port of call after the tea in the morning. A walk down to the other yard with Louise or woodwork with Jim or gardening with George are all in a days work for this extended family. The Maher farm had the pleasure of welcoming Nationwide to the farm during the summer of 2019 and all the participants at the time got to contribute to the programme.
