Bernie Murphy, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford started taking Social Farming participants on to her family farm in 2019. Bernie has the support of her daughter Brenda and son John who are delighted that she is able to share her knowledge and skills with others.
On their busy farm there are plenty of activities to choose to take part in. The calves and outhouses always need attention as does Sally the donkey. Bernie’s cooking skills and recipes are a great hit on the farm as are her community connections. Bernie always tries to encourage communication by taking trips off farm to the Co-op or garden centre to broaden peoples interactions with others.
